Default head rebuild follow up

ok thanks to everyone who offered there sujestions and help with figuring out why my jeep was misfiring. i did the compression test that someone sujested and found that the copression was low on two cylinders. someone else sujested if the copression was low it was the head gasket. so i made the nessecery preperations to change it. this was seemingly an easy task untill we found that we couldnt get to the bottom bolts holding the exhaust and intake manifolds on, because the exhaust donuts were in the way and it wasgoing to be difficult getting them off because there was heat baked mud on the bolts. well what we desided to do is pull the whole assembly head and manifolds and disconnect the exhaust from the lower (much easier) disconnect that it before the S pipe. getting the assembly out was the hard part but once its out you can change the maifold gasket and look the head over. reassemble the manifolds to the head and drop it back in but place cardboard over the new head gasket to protect it so ypu dont gouge it and have to change it again in a week or two. then set the head and start reassembly. make sure you get your torque specs and patterns right on the manifolds and most of all the head. and torque the head down before you put the push rods in and losen the rocker to get the push rods in.

hopfully this helps anyone needing to chang a head gasket
