Default Have u had problems switching ATF??
Some of us (on thread "NP231 fluid question?") have been having a debate on whether or not switching from Dexron to ATF+3 or ATF+4 is a good idea. The research I've seen has all been for switching, but some of the guys are saying people have had problems (slipping, chattering, etc.) after making the swap.

I've never had a problem after switching.

Anyone have any experiences with that?

On an older high milage Xj stay with the dexron not worth the risk if you ask me

I would stick with dexronIII/mercon ONLY. I would stay away from ATF+4 in the tcase and transmission..

got 200 miles on amsoil fluid, and filter change with no problems.
