Okay here is the deal. My dad passed away and I got his 1995 Jeep Cherokee 2 door. I know some things about "stock" vehicles but I got htis thing and its lifted with a Skykacker lift, it says so on the lift, and I dont know how big a lift it is, what mods were done to it, etc. Also I am having lots of small issues and didnt even know where to start. It has aftermarket American rcing rims that are 10" wide, thats what the garage told me. Tires are getting expensive and I would like to downgrade to stock 15" rims and run a smaller size ture but dont know if I can with the lift and work thats done to it. Heres a pic, will get more later.

What size tires are on it know? You can always go to a stock size tire, it will just look really funny with the smaller tires on it. But as long as they are the same size on all four, you won't have any issues.

When I first got it, it had 33x12.50x15 on it but I had a blow out and have 31"s on the front right now. I just have 2 cars and a kid on the way and money is tight. I would love to get a nice set of 4 31"s but are they ok to have on the 10" rims or can that be an issue? I posted an ad on craigslist for someone in my area to come look it over and let me know what it has done to it since I have no idea.

Those arent 10 inch rims those are 15 inch rims... The 10 is how wide it is. 33x12.5x(15) 15 meaning how big the diameter is

That looks like a 5" maybe 5.5" lift. Just go down to some 31x9.50. That will lower tire cost. Lower rolling diameter (better gas mileage). Narrower tire is less unsprung weight. Anything smaller than 31's will look pretty goofy with those fender flares. My $0.02

Ohh! Obviously you will need a set of stock width wheels for that size. I have a nice set here. I'll trade ya for the wheels you have.

I am still trying to find an okay set just for winter from craigslist of 33's but they are harder to find used than diamonds in my back yard. Appreciate the feedback, also I seem to have just started leaking tansmision fluid, looks like a lower line from transmission, maybe a cooling line? Is that an easy fix? Also when I turn on the fan nothing comes out, not sure if its a fan or the motor or maybe just a fuse or something small like that. Getting more pics up maybe tomorrow from underneath to get some feedback on other upgrades it may have.

If anyone lives near me I would love someone to come take a look and see what kind of setup I have.

hey man check out these tires. There are significantly cheaper than other tires because they are re-treads. 31x10.5R15s run $80-90 each, less than 1/2 the cost of others.

Everyone i have talked to that has bought them has been very satisfied with how they perform.

Pretty much everyone on this site has to be hands on with there Cherokee's for two main reasons: 1. They are older vehicles now. & 2. Once the vehicles aren't stock anymore there's alot of new problems you're faced with. My point is, I notice that you mentioned having two other vehicles and money is tight, so do you really need this vehicle? Just a warning because these things could dollar u to death if you're not able to work on these yourself.

I have my daily driver and then I was keeping the jeep as a winter/backup vehicle. Had a guy come look at it yesterday and he wanted to negotiate my price of $2100. I think its still worth that much and I can't give it away it was my dads. I would rather fix it up, my girlfriend said maybe its a sign he didnt want you to sell it that it started leaking transm fluid and antifreeze as the guy is looking at it. I dont believe in all that kinda stuff but it is kinda odd on the timing of it.
