Have a 2000 XJ 4.0l,Auto,4x4. Recently repaired EVAP broken hose, after ten cold start/warm-up's emissions monitor still shows HasNotRun condition, at this point, I've now lost way too much hair over this, Rogaine won't help.

The EVAP monitor requirs a cold start, usually an overnight soak, or parked for at least 8 hours with the engine off. The engine coolant temperature MUST be within 10 degrees of ambient/battery temperature, and the sensed ambient(outside) temperature must be within 40 and 90 degrees F.
If the coolant temp sensor is screwed, that is if it is reading an incorrect cold temperature the EVAP monitor will not run.
With a scanner and the engine overnight cold, look at the sensed temp reading of the coolant and amibient temp.....they should be within 2 degress of each other.
Let us know how you make out.
