So, I'm due for a new alternator. I have a 94 xj with the 4.0 and aw4.
Every standard replacement alternator I've seen is a 90 amp, but this one is a 117. Both rock auto and Amazon say it will fit my 94. Does anyone know if it is a direct bolt-in? Or will I need to do some grinding?

Also, will I need to upgrade any other electrical components to use a higher amperage alternator? Thanks in advance guys!

Ya, it looks like it should fit with no issues. I was just intrigued by the idea of a higher amperage alternator that would bolt right up with no modification necessary. Hopefully someone here has had experience with this exact one.
