the only thing I don't like is losing firewall strength...if that bracket were metal and welded in, I'd bet it would make it stronger.

I'd do it.

looks good but with the way my exhaust is, im making a more free-flowing intake rather than one that raises the level..plus with the way i mud, i tend to use more skinny pedal and make bigger waves so all the mud and water would just pour right into the intake..i know you can drill holes in the bottom of the air box..but still..

That's what I was thinking about it pouring in. Anyone else have a modification other than a snorkel so I can cross more water/ mud?

do that same mod, but put a bobcat dome top through the grille or something along those lines for DD driving, then just get a hose to extend it to the roof when you're wheeling.

I'm doing something similar this spring. It's gonna go into the middle of the firewall, to the passenger side and then up out of the cowl via big 4" hole. The snorkel pvc tube will have a cap on it.

are you serious? its not even part of the firewall, and its barely 1/8" thick.

i run it, and its awesome. it doesnt make the vac colder during winter, but when i floor it on the highway i loose some air in the vents. i have to disconnect it when it snows though bc of the ice that accumulates on the cowl and starves the motor
