Hard Starting when warm on 94 XJ
Hey Everyone,
I just started having a problem with the XJ yesterday. It seems that when the engine is warm it isn't getting enough fuel or something cause I have a really hard time getting it to start.
I check the fuel pressure at the rail by just depressing the valve to see if anything comes out and it is a slow drip if anything.
My immediate thought is the fuel pump but I can hear the FP priming and when the car has sat for 30 minutes or so it starts just fine. I replaced the fuel filter about 2 months ago and the only changes I have made recently were motor mounts and a screamin demon coil 2 weeks ago. I should also mention that the starter is only like 3 months old. I even tested with the old coil since I still have it sitting around and the same thing happens.
Anything I should check that would go from working fine to not working overnight basically? If I can hear the FP prime could it still be bad?

Quick update, just let the XJ sit for an hour and turned the key to start but didn't start it. Checked the fuel pressure and it seemes to be fine and it fired up right away.
What could be causing an issue when it is warm, I usually thought starting issues were when cold?

I was talking to a friend about this and he was mentioning that since the screamin demon coil is so hot that when the motor is warm it could be grounding out the bosch plug wires. Does that seem like something reasonable?
