Today was a slow day at the shop, got a new CPS shielded and installed, and I put in a new fuel pump assembly (whoa, gas gauge works... what a novel concept!!) jeep is STILL hard to start, requires wide open throttle, and it runs REALLY rough, like on half the cylinders for about 30 seconds, then after that, purrs like a kitten, with the very occasional hiccup. Startup smells really, really rich.and about a third of the time will only hesitate to start up, or rather have a long start, then rev high as I assume. This is now happening all the time as opposed to only warm starts as previous, but I only got to check this like twice before my commute home... about 64 miles with no incident, and only a long start at the stop at Walmart. I am REALLY thinking about investing in OBD1 gear! Maybe a used set from ebay or such?
