any ideas as to why it's so difficult to get into 2nd gear early in the morning? As everything warms up it's a little easier, but not much. I have a new clutch and I just changed the tranny oil a couple of weeks ago. Reverse is a pita sometimes too. Oh, it's a 90XJ 4.0L w/AX15 5spd.

 

maybe you need to bleed the clutch a little more??

 

I know nothing of the XJ's hand shakers. But i did have an eclipse back during college that was a challenge when it was cold out. Family mechanic gave me some stuff he called "skunk juice" to add to the tranny oil. It was double bagged and inside 2 separate containers and still made me gag the whole way home. But it cleared the problem up. Dunno why i couldnt land a date for a solid month after using the stuff. Oh yea use latex gloves(double up) and a pair of chemical resistant gloves. Heh i can still smell that stuff all these years later....dont make my mistake....lol.
