Hey guys, I've ran across this site a few times in my googling for various things, so I figured it was time to register. Anyways, my brother and I both have XJ Cherokee Sports, mine is a 98, and I believe his is a 99. On both of our rigs, mine more than his, there is a hard shift from N to D, and sometimes coming to a complete stop, and sometimes starting to drive from a complete stop. I had my tranny fluid checked and they said that it looked good. Could this be a tranny mount, or is it anything to worry about? Thanks.

 

Id check the trans mount. When I had my 95xj it was night and day difference when I replaced the trans mount. Its super easy, put a board and jack stand under the trans take the crossmember off, pull off old mount and then do the reverse. 30 mins tops.
