Not necessarily.....it depends on how u did the compression test. After the initial (I presume dry) test, u add a tbsp of oil to each cylinder thru the spark plug hole and re-test. If numbers stay about the same, rings r decent. If numbers jump up, (oil sealing bad rings) rings might not be so good.

Lookin like its the valve stem seals after sitting 5 min little bit of smoke hour smokes for like 15-20 min relative to time sitting so imma end up buying that 4.2 and build the motor thats in it thanks everybody for the help if not the valve seals ill update with the specifics and a build thread
