Default H.O. vs Non-H.O. ??

K so i'm kinda confused on what the difference is. i've got an H.O. sittin in the XJ that i'm tearing apart as i need stuff for mine and i'm just unsure of what the difference is/ if there is anything transferable to squeeze some more power out of mine. the H.O. is in a '92 and mine is a regular 4.0 in a '00 if that changes anything.

Anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

Yours is a Power Tech in the 2000, which is basically the new name for the H.O. There will be no benefit, if anything it will be a small set back.

yeah, about the only thing you could gain from the 92 HO motor is a 7120 casting number head which breathes a little better. Everything else on your 00 motor is probably better. It should be that way with 8 years of getting smarter time for the engineers in between these 2 XJs. The only reason the 00 doesn't have an equally good breathing head was for emissions and MPG efficiency or so I've read.
