I have never done it myself but several of the local offroad shops offer the service..If I was strictly a mudder/rock crawler I'd by some and have em grooved but for me it just seems like a waste of money. I know a few guys who have done it on the big truck and say it's awsome in the mud.

i don't understand all the thornbird hate. i've had them and loved them, and i'm considering them again. they did fine on the street and wore nicely. they are a tough bias ply tire, and did amazing off road.

a lot of people talk bad about them, but is it from expereince, the few people i know that actually ran them, have nothing bad to say about them.

i used them on a daily driver for a long time, 33". no tread ever flew off, handled as well as any 33" aggressive tire would, and i put over 30k on them and they were about 50% worn.

if you like them you like them. but what tires do you have to compare them to?

i have seen them in action once, and havent seen them in action since for good reason.
