so i was on my way home from the football game tonight and my jeep had a griding sound comming from what apeared to be the driveshaft? possible the tranny but it sounded like directly where the driveshaft is. right behind the centerconsole. it only happens when i let off the gas.. any ideas?

 

U-Joints? Ever changed them? That would be the lesser of the various evils.

 

to the best of my knowledge no they havent been changed. and it would make sence because i can feel it like slam into gear if that makes sence lol when i go from park to reverse i can kinda feel the jerk... you know what i mean. its more so from r to d

 

Id start at the u-joints. That seems like the culprit without standing there and hearing and feeling it for myself. Check em out...
