Default Grinding noise during accel.

While driving home from work today i noticed a weird noise *like weirder then the rest of the **** box makes* so i turn down my radio and i hear what sounds like a grinding noise when i apply gas. So i pull over. It does in reverse drive and park. So i dont believe its shafts or ujoints being it is parked and still does it. Could it be something stupid i can go fix now? Or am i looking at tightening up a flex plate or some ****? please help

could be belt tensioner or water pump or a/c compressor or alternator or power steering pump. a quick check, take the belts off and start it. dont let it run for long as your water pump will not be turning. if the noise goes away then you know it is one of those items mensioned above. if you still hear it then it could be coming from the trans. to check that. unbolt the torque convertor and slide it back as far as it will go away from the flywheel and start it up. this will isolate the engine from the accessories and the trans.

Ill try the belt trick. I JUST replaced my alternator any chance i made the belt to tight or something? not looking foward to taking belt off again but i will do it if that is what it takes to find out. btw another note. I can actually feel this vibration when it groans or w.e the **** its doing. Would starting truck and turning on ac help diagnose anything?

You don't need loctite. Maybe it never got tightened properly. Any auto parts joint can replace it for you.
