Default Green wire for Hellas

I just got a set of two Hellas and wired everything up but the green wire. I tried to turn them on and got nothing.

Does the green wire just have to have to be hooked to something that will give it 12V or what?
Thanks

That's what the instructions say too. But what wire is my high beams? Is it possible to just use the the battery instead that way I can use the lights without the high beams.
