....ok, I'm totally SWAMPED after reading all these reviews, but the firestones are winning in my book for price and performance right now....I'm worrying about balancing/wear issues though.
Thoughts?

I would say definitely go with the bfg's. The general grabbers are similar but a friend of mine with a 4 runner says they are crap. Another friend of mine with a pathfinder loveeess his bfg's. He has no problem airing them down to 12 psi for offroading and they are amazing for an all season tire in the winter (they are after all, "winter rated") Another guy I work with (also has a pathfinder) put them on his truck but payed an extra 20 per tire and had them siped. If I were you I'd go with the bfg, definitely goign to be the best overall performance in mud, snow, ice, pavement, along with having the best ride quality out of the other tires. Just my two cents

Well...I've decided to go with the firestones. Reading ALL the reviews on tirerack, the firestones for price/performance beat out all the others. Only $100/tire, so I'm getting them on today! Finally, some good tires just before this snow storm!
