i just bought a 2001 grand cherokee v8 4.7 as you drive and stop at a light it wants to turn off so i never paid too much attention to it and tonight as im driving it studder'd on me. idle went down and up and i got to a stop light it studdered again and it shut off i cranked it back up and it shut off again i waited 20 seconds and started it back up and it drove ok,, ive heard the egr valve could be it .... if anybody please help i would aprecciate it i have big plans on lift kits and tires the right way but would like to fix this problem.. thank you

 

To the best of my knowledge that could be the valve or the pump itself failing
