Several years ago when we had a local retread place here in town, when they took a good set of carcasses in, they ground down each tire in the set, used die grinders to grind out any holes, rusted wire, and pulled any old plugs. After this they would patch any holes to seal up the spot and then the tires went in to be wrapped with rubber and vulcanized. The new tread will seal up any holes from the outside and the patches adds reinforcement to the spot from the inside. You shouldn't have any trouble running them front or rear as long as you keep her under 90.

but even if it is illegal which i know here it isnt, how many police are going to pull you over and say "your tires are retreads, those are illegal"?
Exactly, and theres no inspection here in South Carolina so theres no way of them really telling unless a cop pulls you over and knows what retreads look like lol.
But if they did....that would suck to not get inspected and have to buy new tires. Very doubtful it would happen anyways. Of course if you have a bfg mt carcass and all terrain tread then someone's gonna be scratching their head looking at that.
Its a BFG a/t carcass so they really shouldnt notice.
