I'll admit, that's a better job than I could expect to do, and a lot cleaner than other "frame jobs" I've seen in the past. But when you've got a Chevy frame, and a Chevy motor (V8), why not just build a Chevy?

I'm from CT not the Australian outback and do not need a truck like that.

If it was mine it explains alot??? Yeah it does, it would show I have the ability to build it and probably took less time to build than you spent fixing rust to get it back to stock. <Touche>

Now I did forget about the 78 Vega on a 68 Bronco frame sitting in my friend John's backyard. Was a show winner but when a diff cracked we parked it long ago and let it sit. Was addicted to Englishtown Raceway back then.

 

That has been posted here before. I think it could be done much better!! Besides, full widths would have a heck of a time on some of the trails I run. I'll keep mine the way it is....thank you!!

 

I think it's a far better job than I could do if I ever found a reason to want too. The "jeep" is probably a XJ body on a Full size cheve frame. It's even using cheve axles cause it's not using a drive side drop axle. Probably an old K-5 body got rusted out and someone thought it'd be cool to put a XJ on top of it. I know some people who've done this with CJ's. My opinion is it's a unique idea doing it with the unibody jeep, buy not something I'd would never want.

 

Should have plasma-cut the unibody framerails and relocated them outboard and allowed the body to fit more snugly onto the donor frame. And lowering the body onto the frame makes a more stable connection between body and frame.
Also removes the need to get fresh air to radiator THRU front bumper AND removes that GAWD AWFUL mess up front.

Don't even get me started on the "sticky" hood scoops. Nothing like slapping angular scoops onto a SQUARE hood.

IMHO...junk. POS. Someone needs to step away from whatever vice that is clouding thier cranium.

All too true, long before I saw that I was thinking a GCL with a full boxed frame and a Hemi would be sick to have.

I went by a 4x4 Amc Gremlin today.

 

There is one of those in our area too. Has a plow and plow lights. The guy actually uses it (to plow snow)

 

This was in Seymour CT at a tire shop with a plow on it.
