Is this a good estimate? Doesn't seem so to me.

Just had my Jeep checked out. Apparently it will cost around $54o to replace my front ball joints, U-joints, and track bar.
Does this seem a little steep to you?

Hourly rate depends on the job, whose working on it and what vehicle it is.
Charge more per hour to replace a bmw water pump than we would a cherokee, its more of a hassle.
They probably wont disclose that at first, which is what estimates are for

The ball joints rate is 1.9 hrs
track bar 1.3 hrs
u-joints assuming front half shaft another 1.3 both sides
So we have 4.3 hrs and then parts
My shop at 80 a hour thats around 350 in labor and then the parts on top of that.
And xj ball joints go around 200 bucks alone.
I think your getting a deal.
