Default glasspack exhaust help...

Ok Im wantin to put a cherry bomb glasspack on my 96 4.0 xj tomarrow and I was gonna see if you guys could tell me what other stuff I will need besides the muffler. I need to get the 2 1/4 right? You guys may think Im crazy but Im gonna go with clamps instead of having it welded on, so how many clamps do I need? just 2? If it leaks then I will just take it somewhere and get it welded on. Should I put any of that exhaust sealer on before I clamp it on? This is alot of questions for one post but I need all the help I can get...thanx

if it does leak there is a thing called muffler tape.. just wrap it around with a few layers and that should take care of it

i have put GP's on a few vehicles.
another thing you could do is go to Schucks or Autozone and they have a small muffler secction...once you measure you muffler size go in and they will have muffler adapters... you set the adapter on where you want to put the GP take a rubber mallet and smack the adapter on until it is snug( should never come off again)
then put your GP then mallet that into the adapter( hit it REALLY hard)
once you get to autozone you should see what i mean

OR:
you could take a bar and set it inside your caty converter and HAMMER it through it(this will knock out the honey combs, thes filterstuff) then take it out and your caty will be hollowed out...your jeep will be MUCH louder, and its a cheaper better sound than a GP.. plus you can bolt and unbolt it....
