Okay, goin to work the other morning I got pulled over and given a warning for a drivers side tail light out. While I was checking it out I noticed that the when I have the running lights on there is light there....when I step on the brakes the light goes out.. I replaced the bulb and no change, i've searched the forums here for ideas but can't seem to find what I'm looking for..

I'm drivin a 92xj 2wd in stock condition with the straight 6 and about 174000 on the clock...

This is my daily driver so any ideas to keep me from gettin a ticket would be greatly appreciated

thanks for the reply.....where would it be grounded at? is that in the dashboard or in the tail light socket....

the socket's seem to be difficult to find....i've been to all 4 autopart stores in my town and none carry them

 

I'm not 100% on the location of the ground for the tail light. I think those have 3 wires one is ground one is brake and one is a parking light. The solid color wire if there is one would be the ground I believe. Like I said I'm not 100% but I don't have a secmatic in front of me.
