Default Gettin rid of vacuum on front axle

I was wandering if anyone knows of a inexpensive way (under $100) to get rid of the vacuum part of the 4wd on the front axle?

I presume that you mean the vacuum hose connection to the top of the front FWD housing? IF so I have a related question as my hose to front FWD differential was ripped out by a plastic tarp that was caught under the front end of the vehicle and it eliminated the hose. Also ripped out the wiring from the transmission sensor, (black & green wires that go from the sensor on the speedometer cable? up towards the instrument console. Cant find the broken ends on my Cherokee, so also interested in followup answers to this question.
Thanks.

I tried the bypass, didn't work for very long...one wheelin trip. Make your own posi-lok, if you want to do it cheap.

I use the posi-lok cable with the available steel shift fork. You won't get it new for under $100, perhaps lucky at wrecker, was offered for non-jeep aplications also.
For under $100 you need to pull the vac canister actuator and use a bolt or allthread rod and couple nuts to position and lock the shift fork. Your front axle will be connected full time and may effect mileage. Posilok or bolt it up, will take same time investment.

this won't be under $100.00 but if you look around you can find then pretty cheap. swap the front axle for one that doesn't have the disconnect, thats what I did on my MJ. just be sure of your gear ratio before buying an axle.
