Default General grabber AT2 comments

So I've been running 235/75/15 General grabber at2 for about a year. They are good tires and I like them. Since then I have lifted the XJ and want bigger tire's. I am tempted to buy another set of General grabber at2 in 32". Just wondering what ya'll think about those tires and for the price if it is better to go with BFG's. Thanks.

I have had a set on my WJ for a couple years. They have been great. I am thinking the same as you. Want to get a set in 33x12.50 for my XJ. I would/will stick with the AT/2 over the BFG.

I have the 235 at2 and love them. IMO they are better than the bfg, plus they are not as expensive

I've had mine for about a year also (same size as yours). I drive on mostly unimproved shale/gravel and tar & chip roads in all types of weather. Winding with quite a few steep switchback sections. The privite road to my house is a 1/2mi of shale with a steep grade. Then there are the places I go off road. I guess you get the idea. All that being said if it was my DD and if I did most of my driving at 50mph+ they would not be my choice. Too rough riding and noisy (replaced Michlein LTX's). I would say they are comparable to BFG AT's which I've run in the past on other vehichles.

I recently put a set of these on the wife's '96 Blazer (235/75/15). VERY NICE high speed AT tire that does well on our rural roads also. They have a much more aggressive tread than the pic shows.

I've had mine almost 2 years and 30k miles. still looking almost new. No problems in the rain or anywhere else I drive. Except mud; but well, they are an AT tire. I would never go back to BFG ATs. They cupped, couldn't balance them, hydroplaned, and were just a bad tire. I've had friends with similar experiences. Plus the AT2s look danm good

Just put a set on my mom's 06 TJ. 265/75-16 on Hoss rims. Her's is really a pavement princess. She loves them, and that woman loves to complain. That should say something.

I've had my for a about a year as well and love them. They're great in the snow, got me through this last winter in central New York. I only ever got stuck once and that was in really deep snow while in 2 wheel drive.

Awesome thank's for the responses guys. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying my 3rd set of these then. Agreed. Great tire for the price.

I have been looking at the AT2 myself but just came across these

Summit Trail Climber A/W

Anyone have any experience with these? I remember my friend having Summits back in the 80's on his truck but that is about the limit of my experience with the brand.

Good thing about them too is that they are made in the US.
