gears
So im seeing a lot on if u wanna run larger tires you need higher gears to compensate or whatever. Im. Going to be switching from 235/75 to 30x9. 50 tires. My xj is pretty much stock liftwise and axles... What is the stock gear ratio for a 01 xj sport?

A 2001 XJ, if it has the 4.0 litre I-6 cylinder and Auto tranny it will have 3.55 gears. If it has a manual tranny it will have 3.07 gears. If it has a 4 banger it will have 4.10 gears. You won't need to worry about re-gearing just going up to 30s.

If you will be having a shop do the gears for you plan on 300-500 an axle. That is for gears, install kits and labor to have the gears set up.
