How can I tell if my steering box is going out? I have a clank and its getting worse. New axle wheel joints. Iro trac bar, and it's tight. Shock mounts are good. New motor mounts. Brakes are good. So I'm thinking its the gearbox. 1994 Cherokee country 4.0 any help Would be great!

There's a spacer that sits between the unibody and steering box. The stock spacer is thin and crappy mine was all blown out and I could hear and feel the box shifting in turns. Replaced it with An aftermarket one sold by JCR when I put my bumper on. Now the box is solid with no bumping it movement. I would check that out first.
