I have a 1988 Cherokee with a high pinon Dana 30 in the front. I am looking into getting a chrysler 8.25 that has a 3.55 gear ratio. Was wondering what my Dana 30 gear ratio is in the front. Its a 4.0L auto tranny. Thanks for the help.!

+1. Since there were a billion ratios in the 80s, a reasonable way to check is:
Jack up the drivers side the front wheel. Seat yourself so you can turn a front tire and see the driveshaft spinning.
Make two marks on the driveshaft, 180 degrees off Make them unique so you can tell them apart.
Slowly turn the tire and watch the driveshaft spin. Using your two marks count how many times the DS turns for one rotation of the tire.
Just over 3 and a half is 3.55:1
