gear clanging sound and roar when driving

gear clanging sound and roar when driving
I have been having alot of front end problems with my 1995 Grand Cherokee Laredo 8 cylinder automatic transmission. I have changed just about the whole front end drive train except the transfer case and the front differential. I when driving i hear a roaring/whining sound and when I try to change from 4 wheel drive to neutral or 4 low it makes a grinding clanging noise. Anybody have a suggestion as to where I should start.
