Would a set of 95 GC seats fit in my 2001 Jeep Cherokee? Is there a such thing as a retro kit?

 

i was gonna do this on my 96 from what i found early limited xj's along with 95+ xj's had the horizontal seat brackets so do zj's and wj's so i think basically any grand 93-04 will work on yours though the seats are wider but you should be able to make them work

 

yes, from everything i have read this will work for the newer xj's

 

JP magazine did this mod in their fuel efficient XJ project...they have the info on their website

 

How about a 91 XJ.....would newer GC seats be a bolt in affair or would I need to fab my own mounts?

 

you need to do some fabbing.

 

Just drill a couple holes and get some angle iron. I did it pretty easily, theres a few threads on NAXJA about it that I dont remember off hand.
