Gauges Aren't working

Default Gauges Aren't working

I have a 99 cherokee limited, They were working earlier but now none of them move when I turn on the car any ideas?

do you have a no bus message? and i think there is a fuse in the passenger kick panel for the cluster, could check that

Give the front of the cluster a nice little push, or maybe a few pushes, I had the same thing happen to me, might be the same problem

yeah pushing on the cluster fixed my no bus / no gauge issue i had

what do you mean by the cluster? do you mean the fuse box? fuse number 2 was blown and i just replaced it thinking that was the problem but it did not fix it.

Push on the entire gauge cluster. Mine drops out from time to time and I give it a whack like the Fonz and it comes back on. It's a loose connection behind the instrument panel that commonly fails on XJs. There's a fix that I may do when I find the time. Google "no bus".

ok so i found the cluster fuse (9) and found that it was ok and when i put it back in all the lights and warnings around the gauges work but the gauges still don't work

FIXED!!! i gave the cluster a good smack (not the fuse box) and everything started working thanks for all the help guys!!!!!

If hitting it got it working again it is bad connections behind the instrument cluster. My 98 does it maybe once every 2 or 3 months. So I just hit it to get them going again. I just to lazy to pull it apart and fix it right.
