Gauge swap question

Gauge swap question
Hello, sorry to be a pain, but I am trying to locate a complete set of gauges for my 2000 XJ. I currently have only the basic Speedo, big Fuel Gauge, and idiot lights.
Will any XJ gauge cluster from '97-2001 work?
I ask because I have read that '96 and earlier won't work. But a couple of swaps that I have read were a '97 using an '01 cluster, or a '98 using a cluster from a '97.
I just want to make sure that I get the one that will work and give me a Tach, Oil Pressure, and working Temp Gauge.
