Gauge Issues

Gauge Issues
Hey y'all, I have a 2000 Sport...I was drivin the other day, looked down, and the check gauge light was on....then saw my voltage gauge and it was at 19. So I pulled over, turned the key off, and THE MOTOR STAYED ON!!!...never seen that before 
....then i turned the key back on and the gauges were back to normal w/ no warning lights. But a few times i was driving since then and all the gauges stopped working and went to rest for a minute, then went abruptly back to normal...any thoughts?
