Gas tank vent removal?

Gas tank vent removal?

My jeep is only filling to 7/8 and i have to keep clicking the dumb pump like 50 times to fill it... i know its my vent and i know where it is but is the only way to remove it to drop the tank? is there a easier way to replace it?
