Default Gas pump clicks off before full

The past 3 times I've been at the gas station the gas pump clicks off about 1/8th of a tank before full. I've heard of this problem before in a different type of vehicle, and it was the fuel tank vent valve or something like that. I'm assuming that it's the same situation, but are there any tips on fixing it?

This is common in Kalifornia. The state madated new vapor scavanging standards for all gas pumps, This has made the shut off sensors much more sensitive. I literally have to let the fuel trickle in for the last 1/8 of a tank, to keep the things fgrom shutting off. On my motor cyle its worse, almost have to hold the nozzle completly out of the tank to fill.

Yay. The state raises sales tax, closes state parks, and now even makes it hard to fill my rig up with gas. Way to kill my lifestyle, Arnie. Is there any way to make this problem go away or do I just need to move out of the state?

Just fill it slowly, will work better. Elections coming up next year. Vote all of the Dems out. Time to give the Libertarians and Gop a chance. And Arnie doesn't count as a republican, he is after-all related to the Kennedy's.
