Default Gas pedal/throttle cable slack/freeplay,PICS

Hi, i'm having about 2" of freeplay on my gas pedal and was hoping someone can advise if i should change the throttle cable or is it adjustable?






Appreciate someone can help a newbie out :worship:.

most have free play new, as long as it will completely open the throttle blade I wouldn't worry about it, but if it wont put some zip ties on the cable to take up the slack.

Check the cable at the throttle body and see if it came disconnected. That would give you the excess at pedal.

Thx for comments.

Cables are attached and seems tight except tranny cable with a little slack.

I might have used the wrong word.....is more of a slack rather than freeplay.

Anyone else deal with this? cable is good up by the throttle body but that same space that the OP has is what I'm experiencing.

In the pics of the cables in the engine compartment, there is a button about the size of a nickel. push it down and take up the slack in the throttle cable.
