30x9.50 tires really shouldn't effect your mileage all that much. They're really only a couple inches bigger than stock. I suggest you run a couple bottles of fuel injector cleaner through your fuel system, check out your cap, rotor, plug wires and plugs and replace anyhting that looks questionable. Install a cold air intake and good catback exhaust system. All of that would be a good start to getting better MPG. I am currently getting 18-19 mpg on the Hwy. with 6" lift, 4.56 gears, lockers F&R, 33" tires and a 4.0 HO/AW4 engine tranny combo.

If you went to 225's it might improve. I have 30's right now and get anywhere from 14.7-15.5 mpg around town. With 225s I got about 16-17 around town and better on the highway.

X2 I have very similar findings, I think the wider tire has something to do w/it. No matter what tire you run try to source some Ethanol free gas!! That's good for 1-2 mpgs
