I just got horrible gas mileage too. On a 1/4 tank I went 15 miles. Horrible. Later today I'm checking those sensors that I mentioned you should do.

check for vacume leaks, o2 sensor, bad plugs, try driving it a few blocks with the muffler off and look in that cat make sure there aint nothing still stuck in it. could also be a bad fuel pump my mustang had a similar problem ran like a chanp ideling soon as i threw it in 1st. it had almost no power turned out to be bad fuel pump

really sounds like a bad fuel pump to me or clogged fuel filter check the pressure im willing to bet thats what it is. Let me know after you chek this if thats what it is. not sure on how many exact pounds of pressure your jeep sholud have right off hand but any auto parts store should be able to tell you. or look in the trusty HAYNES REPAIR MANUEL
