Default fuse box repairs

Alright so one of the tabs that holds my fuse for my gauges have broke off. Do the sell these little tabs and am I able to just unscrew the fuse box and pop out that one wire and fix it? My xj is an 90'. Thanks for reading.

Will do, won't be till tomorrow though, I'm at work now. By tab I mean where the blade of the fuse plugs into.

You can unscrew the fuse panel, clip the wires for that fuse, then solder in an in-line fuse holder. You can use crimps but solder makes a solid electrical connection which will not vibrate loose.

Also, make sure you take a piece of tape and mark what the new in-line fuse is for. Some future owner will apreciate it.

The fuse panel on the '89 I had had a crater in it where the blower fuse melted down. I thought I would just be able to swap in a new fuse panel but I couldn't find any way to simply disconnect it. The only solution I could find was add the in-line fuse.

Sweet! thanks, I'll definitly label it, however I'm never selling! Have had her for 5 years and am planning on having her for many more. And I actually just bought a solder gun, just got to practice with it a bit first haha
