In my '98 xj I can't seem to climb over 3250 rpm's. When I get up to somewhere around there it cuts out all power and starts to bog down. If I hold my foot to the floor when it tries to do this it acts as if its stalling. When I fall back down to around 2500 all goes back to normal. This is my DD and it make highway speeds difficult when I have to go over a hill. I'm leaning towards fuel pump or injectors myself. So I guess my question is which is more likely to have problems? And I can't find an in-line style fuel filter so I'm guessing its just got the little sock filter at the pump?

 

Fuel pump, but check the fuel pressure before you start dropping the tank.

 

You wouldn't happen to know what fuel pressure should be do ya?
