Fuel sender crapping out??
About a week ago, I started my xj, and a weird high idle followed, up to 2000rpm. After driving highway for about 5 minutes into town and pulling away from a stop light, the fuel gauge started going up and up and up as I accelerated. (not sure if acceleration was a factor)
It went past the full mark, and I thought it was going to make a full circle! came back down to normal after it had hit about the 4 o clock position.
Short maybe? What could have caused this?
It has been perfectly fine lately, and so I guess if it aint borke don't fix it?
