fuel pump wiring
on my 1999 jeep cherokee sport the fuel pump wouldn't activate and we had to get it towed, we checked and replaces fuses and relays and it randomly started 3 weeks after it broke down just from sitting in our driveway and 6 starts later the fuel pump went out again. We think there is a wiring shortage somewhere in the interior and under the carpet. it could be the fuel pump but we replaced it recently but it is an aftermarket. We have tried and looked at every possible connection but can't find the problem.

If it is the same as a 2000, it is Dark Green wire with a white stripe (DG/WT) going from the fuel pump relay in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) runs in the bundle across the back of the firewall and into the jeep under the brake booster area through connector C100 under the dash by the brake pedal. then thru connector C200 (lower left kick panel area) down the left side of the jeep to just at the back of the rear seat then over to a grommet and under the jeep
The Fuel pump relay is controlled by the PCM Connector C3 Pin 19 Brown wire.
Fuel pump relay gets power from fuse 11 in the junction block (ignition power)
Fuse 22 under the hood feeds the fuel pump via the relay
If it happens again, check the voltage at the fuel pump connector
