I've just had a new fuel pump fail and there really are not any quality options for aftermarket parts in the UK.
Is it possible to rebuild my new sender with a Bosch or a Walbro or similar fuel pump?.
Thanks!

Thanks for the replies.
I'm glad to know it's possible. My time is cheap so I guess I'll just have to deal with the fiddle by swearing a lot under my breath.
Would this be a good idea?

They ship to the UK!
I'd buy the full module but I can't seem to find what brand the pump is inside the modules on the market. I don't want to be burnt with another second rate pump inside a new housing.
Thanks again!
edit: Found a full module with the Bosch Pump on Autowarehouse. $228 becomes $410 with shipping and taxes. Youch.
A Denso pump only from JC Whitney comes in at $112 which is £200 inc shipping at taxes, the Bosch pump on its own is a few dollars less.
I'm moving away from the Walbro because I keep reading that they're noisy and the noise of a fuel pump is starting to get on my nerves now!

Crimped housing. I cut this open with a dremmel to see, the motor ran but it didn't pump. Impeller drive pin was sheared.
This type of motor, sometimes a field magnet might come un-glued. Bushings, (if it has them)(housings can be drilled, and bushings added), or brushes could wear out. Armatures can fail. If it wasn't a crimped housing, I could have come up with a better drive pin!

Thanks for the pictures, I realise now that I should have posted "Fuel pump MODULE rebuild". I'll certainly pull the old pump apart to see where the cheapness arrived in my Jeep :/
I got a Denso, for $200.01 delivered with the sock and fitting bits. I'll see if I can fiddle it into the existing housing!
Thanks all.
