Fuel pump not running
So i was just leaving an auto body shop after this kid hit my rear drivers side quarter, and i'm on the highway then my fuel pump quits running, i check the fuses and there's one big 30 amp blown, so i replaced it, nothing. two weeks ago with an airtex one and I've been reading on the forum that they can be junk, but i bypassed the fuel ballast and still nothing, should there be power going to the ballast even if the fuel pump is bad. I was trying to find out if there's an inertia switch, but i would've figured that i couldn't drive it home after he hit me. It had to happen after i get my floors done too! I'm dropping the gas tank tomorrow again to remove the fuel pump since is under warranty and swapping it with another one, so hopefully, but any ideas would be awesome

was looking at power dist. schematics and found the heated O2 receives power from that 30A Maxi Fuse(Eng Cont. 1) or something. The o2 sensor wire had melted up against my intake manifold and was shorting out. that fuse also powers Fuel Pump and pretty much everything you need to run
Ok after of hours of scratching my head i finally figured out what was causing no, or limited power to my fuel pump. Like everyone im sure, I checked for power at the pump harness connector and got a 3.85 reading. Traced everything back the the relays found that there is a fuse block on the inside of the cabin by the brake pedal. With key 'on' reach under the dash by the brake pedal and jiggle the fuse block. While doing this, listen for the fuel pump prime.or have a buddy try to start it while you jiggle the block. or try to pull a reading at the connector while key is on. This should result in power to pump. It did for me and i hope does for anyone elsblock.. Email me for questions.
