Ok so I was out driving today, and all of a sudden my jeep quits. It acted like it ran out of gas. So I raise the hood and start looking. Find out the fuel pump was not running, but could hear the relay clicking on and off. But I dont know if it was the master relay or the fuel pump relay clicking. So call a tow truck and $125 later my jeep is at home. I was fixing to go get a fuel pump and decided to try it one more time. I turned the ignition and the fuel pump comes on!!! My baby fired right up!! Question is any ideas on the cause? It is a 1990 4.0 renix. I am lost any ideas?
Thanks,
Lurch

I know when im on e and take a turn too quick with too much throttle the pump will suck air and stall me out. Sometimes it will just choke a little and come back. Do you hear it prime everytime before you crank it?

Normally I do. I had over a half a tank of gas. While on the side of the road, with the ignition switch turned on there was no gas or pressure in the fuel line.
