fuel pump bad?

fuel pump bad?
I cant figure it out. Sometimes my jeep wont start. I have spark and I can hear the pump when I turn the key. I use a little starting fluid and it will start right up. I will also throw in that sometimes it has a really high idle dont if this has something to do with it. Also every once in a while it will stall but start right up. Could this be the fuel pump or something else? Thanks
