Now I guess the follow up question

About how much does a replacement cost?

Looked at NAPA's website and of course there were several different ones. I know its electric saw some for 98$ all the way up to about 130$

The real question is how much fuel is in your tank right now or should I say how much are you going to have to get out before you can change the pump?

Yeah. Pretty good idea there. I am sure its about as old as the jeep. Trick now is getting someone to help me out. I can afford the pump, or the cost to have it installed or the cost of having my jeep towed home but all three.

Little to far for me or I would pull you home. So you cant hear your pump at all then. To change your pump will take you about an hour give or take a little bit. Look on CL or Ebay or even the for sale section on here for a new/used pump. But I would replace the filter with it.

Well about an hour means 4 to all of use because we find other stuff to do. But it is just a lock ring the you turn and then a oring and it comes right out. Dont forget to get all the pressure out of the lines befor you pull them off. lol I make that mistake once. Butyou can get to your pump with out even dropping the tank. Your neck may be a little sore the next day but way better then dropping the tank.

That's great to hear. I will have to take the skid off I know that much its a double edged sword that it broke down at work. Its good because it didnt give out in the midddle of nowhere but its bad because I can't work in it in my own drive way. The parking lot at work sucks. Its either asphalt or that lattice work concrete brick crap.
