Fuel pump?

Fuel pump?
1991 xj 4.0
hard start first thing in the morning, Tried key on key off,No sound from pump.
Starts after a couple of tries, Ideas rough for a minute, Then runs fine rest of the day???????

Did you start more than one thread on this topic?
I just replied earlier today for the exact same thing.... check the pressure at the fuel rail with a gauge and let us know what you get. I think idle it should be somewhere around 45psi if memory serves.
