fuel line at rail
in the process of removing the head on my 2000, the fuel line that connects to the fuel rail, specifically right about where it turns from tubing to nylon/plastic (about a foot or so from the rail connection) hose bent/cracked. so i cut it at tubing and have yet to find a factory replacement part #. i need to replace the hose that runs from the metal tubing beside the steering rack to the fuel rail connections
is it just typical 5/16" nylon fuel rated line or what? anyone else ran into this issue, if so, what did you use to fix it? i'm not sure how I plan to connect it.

I'm not familiar with your setup. Mine (front), has metal down to a fitting to standard fuel line. Sort of a fancy piece, I'd check the JY if I needed one. With fuel under pressure near the engine staying stock sounds better. Guess your over 50lbs, I defiantly wouldn't try to clamp it on a smooth line.
Maybe someone else could be more help, especially with a pic

That section of fuel line is a clip-in piece, you can unclip it from the fuel rail AND down near the bottom of the fire wall and replace the entire thing.
I just had to do it, cost me less than $30 for the premade fuel line with the connectors and everything.
I know it's probably cheaper just to cut and bend your own line, but seriously, replacing it takes less than 5 minutes if you just get the premade one.

I'll look for my receipt when I get home from work.
I got it from Napa, just call them and tell them make and model (specify that it's the Cherokee XJ of course), say you need the front fuel line where it connects to the fuel rail all the way down to just below the fire wall.
They should be able to look it up.
