My fuel gauge on my '98 Cherokee Sport is playing up. It will give wrong reading now and then. So I suspect the fuel level sending unit.

I've done a search on the forum and found previous posts on this topic.

I'm still not sure whether it's possible to just replace the fuel level sender or do you have to replace the whole pump assembly. Anybody got a part number for just the fuel level sender?

If I'm going through all the trouble of lowering the tank, I prefer to put new parts in right away.
